Since 1992 Brian Mulholland has been very ably performing the role of Publicity Secretary along with his other roles involving membership and Scorers within our Club. At the last AGM he said he would like someone else to take it on in order to bring a fresh approach, but no-one came forward so Brian continues to perform the publicity role by default. With all his other activities Brian is finding it increasigly difficult to find time for this important function.
This is an appeal to anyone with some journalist tendencies to take on this role for the Club. All it involves is putting together three Newsletters a year, one that includes the sending out of the Fixture Cards at the start of the season, another at the end of the season issued with the AGM agenda, and a final newsletter prior to Christmas issued with the minutes of the AGM. It also involves giving appropriate items of interest to Martin Tyler for the website.
If anyone could take on this role we would be most appreciative. Let Brian or Owen know of your interest during this season. It would be a great help to the Club. In case you were wondering, it is not necessary for the Publicity Secretary to attend Management Committee meetings on a regular basis, but they can do so if desired.

On Saturday May 5 there will be a social event after the matches at the club. This will almost certainly involve a BBQ and maybe some other event, but will depend on numbers!

To celebrate Chorleywood's third practice session of the 2007 season, Chelsea and Liverpool Football Clubs have agreed to provide us with some free entertainment afterwards. Please join us at nets and then in the bar afterwards to support the noble gesture.

This might not be that useful to most of you, but if you know what an RSS (news) feed is, you can now get these news items, and also results as RSS feeds.
You can click on the  at the bottom of this page to subscribe to news items, and click on the on the results page to subscribe to results.
What happens when you click on those depends on what browser you are using and whether it has an inbuilt RSS reader. If you dont already use RSS feeds then this probably isnt for you, since you may aswell just check this website for the news and results.

Team is now selected for the 1st match of the season at home to Rickmansworth on Sunday 22nd April.
No nets this sunday (Easter Sunday) but a big turnout for the final session of the winter would be good on April 15th
