Chorleywood Saturday 3rds - League v Dunstable 4 |
24th Jun 06 - HL - Away |
Won by 8 wickets |
Dunstable won the toss and seeing the Wood were starting 2 short due to M1 travel difficulties wisely chose to bat
first on a pitch that very quickly started to crunmble. The Wood opened with the father and son attack of Rick and
David Harrigan who kept the openers quiet taking one early wicket, then after another trade mark run out by Mark
Sinderberry Mike Rose was bought on and he took 6-33 turning the ball square. The home team innings was then finished off by Colts Jamie Smithson and Oscar O'Mara. Any nerves at chasing 132 were so relieved by the new opening pairing of Dare and Dunstone and then a second wicket partnership of Dare and Rice totalling 90, the Wood eased home
by 8 wickets with the captain on 73*.
